A Weekend Of 50th Birthday Celebrations

We loved every minute we spent planning this three day birthday event for Roy and Pieter in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

We were tasked with locating the perfect party house to hire for two very special clients, knowing Roy and Pieter’s style by now really helped with that but we had quite a few boxes to tick in terms of the size of property and what it needed to offer on top of the style that they really like to enjoy. We searched high and low and found The Parsonage which is a stunning property set on the edge of The Cotswolds and after a visit we decided this was the house. It allowed us to be able to offer luxury accommodation for the party for our clients and their guests but also to plan a large marquee based party on the Saturday night on the marquee lawns. This included food stations to make sure that guests had an array of exciting things to eat include Moroccan, Spanish paella station, wood fired pizza oven and Serrano ham plus a fabulous cocktail bar to provide flowing drinks all night with an amazing birthday cake, speeches and dancing the night away to The Fascinations – what a night!

The same marquee was then cleared and re-styled the following day for us to host a beautifully relaxed rustic BBQ on the Sunday afternoon – a chance for the guests to have a calm afternoon after the party the night before and really enjoy the amazing food created by Cotswold Cooks who worked with us again for the second night.

On the third night, things moved on into another amazing dimension! The house dining room was transformed into an elegant private dining room for 12 luck guests to experience a private dining tasting menu from Koj – former finalist on Masterchef and what a treat it was! We had worked closely with our couple to pair the perfect wines to the menu and we were on hand to style the dining room and serve the champagne and canapés throughout the drinks reception and invite guests to take their seats for the incredible meal which was to come. We worked with Koj all evening to see the food safely to the tables to serve to the guests and to talk guests through the menu and ingredients and the delicious wines. After spending some time clearing the house and kitchens so that it was left just as we found it we crept off and left the guests enjoying a night cap and reflecting over what was a truly amazing few days.
